Kensington Market, Again

On the first beautiful day of the year, my partner in crime Vlad and myself took up our cameras for a stroll in and around Kensington Market, downtown Toronto. I’ve been here before but I don’t go often (which is a shame because there’s a killer cheese shop here) as it’s ‘downtown’, which for Scarborians is like driving to the third city over. Too far and too much hassle.

We were hardly the only ones out as the beckoning sunshine drove hoards of photographers out, some of which we had a nice chat with. The market itself is an institution here in Toronto, and worth a visit if you’re ever in the area. A plethora of food options, (thrifting) stores and more. A cauldron with a tasty multicultural soup and a quirky flair.

We didn’t set a real target or subject for this photo walk, something I think I should give more thought the next time. These are some of the snapshots from that day:

Go visit sometime! And if you find it’s not quite your jam, 0ne of Toronto’s Chinatowns is right around the corner, as well as shopping streets, music stores and museums. Toronto is quite walkable as a city and I don’t visit enough. Then again, I am a Scarborian…
