Behold: the sole survivor of an entire 36-exposure roll.
I dragged my FE out to the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre—tucked right by Flemingdon Park on the fuzzy border of Midtown and Wexford-Maryvale—fully convinced I was about to capture a masterpiece. The trees showed up in full, breathtaking, ethereal bloom. My photography skills, on the other hand, apparently decided to take a personal day.
I’m still kicking myself, because this spot is a hidden gem that easily rivals (if not completely clowns on) the chaotic frenzy of places like High Park. You get all the gorgeous pink-cloud magic without being aggressively backed into by twenty different influencers trying to get their “candid” reel.
So here it is: the one frame that didn’t look like a blurry crime-scene photo.
Tell me I’m not the only one who burns through a whole roll just to rescue a single socially acceptable shot? Or better yet—what’s your go-to GTA blossom spot where you can actually hear yourself think?
